THE HOMES WE OFFER

WFHA is a small, independent, not-for-profit, Registered Provider of housing. We provide homes in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The majority of our homes are flats in sheltered housing, designed for people who are over the age of 55. These flats each have their own community alarm and we offer an intensive housing management service. We let most of these homes to people put forward by Waltham Forest Council, but we also keep a short waiting list. However, our waiting list is currently closed due to high demand. Please check the site regularly to see when our waiting list reopens.

Together with support providers, we provide supported accommodation for people with learning difficulties. This includes a scheme for people with autism. We only let these spaces to people who are referred to us by either:

  • a support provider
  • LB Waltham Forest Social Care, or
  • the Community Learning Disability Team at North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT).

About 40% of our homes are for single people and families. We only let these homes to people put forward by the Council or to existing tenants who need a transfer.

So, if you are looking for an ordinary home to rent in the borough – either from the Council, or from a housing association like WFHA – you need to register with the Council. Contact Waltham Forest Council via their website, or phone them on 020 8496 3000.
