If you would like to make improvements to your home, you must first ask our permission.

We will ask for details about what you want to do and write with our decision. We will not say no without giving you a good reason.

Sometimes we say yes, but with conditions. For example, we may ask you to put the property back the way it was before you leave.

You must contact us for permission before you start any work. One day, your home will be lived in by someone else. We want to make sure that the changes you make don’t make it harder to let.

More importantly, there may be safety considerations. Sometimes, there is asbestos hidden in parts of a flat. It isn’t dangerous unless it’s disturbed, for example, by being removed or drilled into. This is why we often leave asbestos in place and sometimes enclose it.
