Governance is how WFHA makes decisions that define expectations, grant power and verifies performance.

WFHA have adopted the National Housing Federation “Excellence in Governance” as our code and good practice guide. The aim of the code is for organisations to demonstrate that they are following the highest standards of governance, accountability and probity, while responding to an ever changing environment and increased risks. It provides a clear and concise code for our Board Members to comply with to explain their areas of non-compliance. We have also agreed to work within the guidelines of the National Housing Federations, Model Rules for Housing Associations 2011 and Code of Conduct 2012.

A full governance review was carried out in 2014/15.
